What are you doing this Winter?

Winter 2009-2010 is here!

The third snow storm of the season has already blanketed Rockland County and our Field. So, what are you doing this Winter? Hole'd up in Florida? Holiday Shopping or making up your Wish List? Surfing the web? Building or Repairing? Flying on your Simulator? Catching up on your magazine reading and YouTube videos?

If your answer is "joining Santa in some Snow Flying," then why not share the fun by sending in photographs for our website!

Here's the first submission of this season.

That's Richard Landis (back to camera) flying a float-equipped Multiplex Mentor foamie at our Field. Off-camera flight crew: Harvey Landis and Lisa Landis, photographer.

That's the same model flown at the Greenwood Lake Seaplane Fly-In this past September. If you'd like more specs on the Mentor, visit Dan Landis' extensive new website: Dan's webpage for Mentor

Or, you could just ask any of these Canadian Geese!

Note: No goose was injured during this flight although the crew reportedly had goose-bumps. :-(
